Eldon 6 Months Old

Eldon is now sitting up really well. Still not rolling but he almost rolls from back to front then stops himself and rolls back; I think that take even more control. He just hates his tummy. When on his tummy he uses his arms to turn in circles to change which direction he is facing. He now had 4 teeth. He says the first sounds like: ma-ma, da-da, ba-ba, bo-bo. Don keeps commenting that he has really grown up in the past week or so, which is true. HE is no longer a tiny infant. He is alert, moving, and developing very fast.

Green Day

Sorry it is sideways, I can't get it to rotate : (

So this St. Pattie's I dressed all the boys in green and made them a green breakfast. Just like my mom used to do. I made the milk green and when that gallon was gone they still wanted their milk green.

My Birthday

That is right I had a birthday! So this year was a little different. My birthday came and I didn't think much of it. I did the normal things all day not feeling like it was different than any other day. I also felt like 26 is of old for some reason. Not old like grandma old just not super young any more. I still feel 18 inside so immature and clueless. Anyway, it was a wonderful day. Don asked off the evening from work to take me on a date. It was really fun!! We went to the mall (for the first time since we have lived here) and then to Red Lobster. But even more than what we did I felt like we were dating again, so in love, it was really good for us. I had lots of birthday wishes and my friends from the ward even threw a surprise party the next day. It was really a good birthday for me. So thanks to all of those that showed they cared, even if it was just a text ;)

The Stove is Hot!!

This is several days after the burn and it was looking much better.

Bryson loves to help me cook. As I was taking the skillet off of the heat he realized it was red and that looked different. He went to touch it. I saw him go for it and quickly pulled his hand back. Three fingers were still burned. He was really good at holding the ice to keep it cool and then even better at leaving the bandage and mitten on, so it didn't get infected. His hand is doing well now but every time he gets close to the stove now he say "Sto hot!" and shakes his hands and moves back. I would say lesson learned.

Jaron's 4th Birthday

So I can not believe my little boy is 4 year old. Jaron is very empithetic and loving. Always solving problems. When my phone broke he had the perfect solution, " Mom the white phone in our playroom still works. You can just use that one." True the playroom phone does still work. However it was my cell that broke not the landlines. Jaron is very inquisitive and observant noticing small details of change or remembering which CD what song is on. So for instance wheels on the bus is on the blue (and I did have to ask him to be able to tell you that). He thinks he can read and is just starting to know that words are actually made up of letters that have sounds. He he loves learning, singing, dancing, and being silly.
We sure love that little guy and he has been one of my biggest helpers with daddy working so much.

Eldon 5 Months Old

On February 19th Eldon was 5 months old. Highlights for Eldon:
He can sit-up
He has three teeth, cut that very week
He loves to yell and jabber. He even has even found how to vibrate his lips to make sounds and lots of spit!
Most of all the is such a joy to have around. He loves his brothers smiling and laughing a lot.

Special Visit

The zoo was lots of fun. Bryson's new thing is pushing Eldon in the stroller.

Bryson helping make jerky, yum!

Grandpa holding Eldon for the first time!

The week of Jaron's birthday my parents came to visit. My dad helped me do a lot of things around the house that we have not been able to do yet. I finally got a new toilet for the boys bathroom. Why this was needed I will spare you the details, but I feel safe going in there now.
Second, new shelf in the laundry room for all my food!! I still have long term food storage in another location, but the 3 month supply is now readily avaliable.

We did a lot of other fun things while they were here including Chucky Cheese, the Zoo, and eating out at fun places. It was a much needed break and great to have the adult company.

Last item of business for their visit. They brought my little dog pepper. She is 15 years old and hard of hearing. But she is already house trained and very loving and gentle. A great start to pets I think.

Snow Day

Last Friday it snowed about 4-6" It was not only beautiful and fun for a day, but it was melted the next morning. That is my kind of snow. Schools were closed and Don did not have to go into work until the afternoon because of the snow.
I guess we brought the odd weather of Utah with us to Texas. There have been some very strange going ons since we arrived here. Tornadoes now Snow? Snow 3 times might I add.
